You’ll manage all necessary equipment and the day-to-day work of the maintenance staff. You’ll be participating heavily in the investigation and selection of new equipment for the warehouse, packaging, and production departments. And, we’ll count on you to assist in setting a quarterly maintenance budget, managing incidence repairs, and overseeing facility maintenance. Does this sound like the right career for you?

What you’ll do:

  • Manage the Preventative Maintenance Plan to ensure all the necessary equipment and maintenance steps are documented
  • Manage the completion of preventative maintenance by equipment techs and maintenance personnel
  • Recommend and implement training programs and activities for maintenance and production teams
  • Manage the spare parts inventory for equipment 
  • Facility Management 
  • Manage maintenance incidence repairs and provide thorough evaluation regarding cause and effect; implement corrective actions as necessary 
  • Maintain an organized work room, including a reasonable tool inventory
  • Assist in setting quarterly maintenance budget
  • Manage the maintenance budget
  • Set and manage Critical Equipment and Non-Critical Equipment availability metrics
  • Participate in the team determining the necessary capital expenditures to accommodate increased throughput 
  • Manage the various projects for equipment acquisition and implementation

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 3-5 years manufacturing/production maintenance experience
  • Direct maintenance supervisory experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair routine mechanical and electrical malfunctions in facility and equipment 
  • Considerable knowledge of mathematical skills necessary to interpret electrical, mechanical, and building systems
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working in assigned area
  • Manual dexterity and coordination to perform all job duties, including lifting, moving heavy loads, being on feet for lengthy periods of time, etc.
  • Work in cold and hot temperatures, indoors and outdoors
  • Ability to perform duties in confined spaces and in awkward positions
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing between 20 and 60 pounds daily
